The conference program will include plenary and keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, young scientists session in Polish and English and a special PSK session.

Scope of the conference

The objectives of the Corrosion 2019 conference are the following:

  • To take stock of the current status of the corrosion, biocompatibility, corrosion protection research through the presentation of the most recent achievements of research teams.
  • To share experience related to the biocompatibility, design of corrosion resistant materials and coatings, corrosion protection and new experimental methods.
  • To indicate new directions of biocompatibility and corrosion protection research and the potential areas for the practical applications of the results of research work.

  • 25 January 2019 – confirmation of the approval of a paper or a poster for presentation at the Conference

Conference Fee
  • Standard registration and payment:  650 euro (2800 PLN)
  • Student standard registration and payment:  530 euro (2280 PLN)
  • One day registration: 250 euro (1080 PLN)
  • Student one day registration: 200 euro (860 PLN)
  • Late registration and payment: 16.02-15.05.2019: 700 euro (3020 PLN)

Costs incurred by the participants:

  • Accommodation - participants incur accommodation costs. A list of hotels close to the venue of the Conference where rooms will be booked for the Conference participants will be provided by 28.02.2019 on the website www.corrosion2019.pl
  • Fee for the additional publication of a qualified article in an indexed scientific journal (150 euro – 650 PLN)

12th International Scientific Corrosion Conference
  • Corrosion 2019
    The major event in Poland in the field of corrosion science and engineering and will be a great opportunity to meet and interact with academia, industry and end users within recent developments in all areas of corrosion and corrosion protection.
  • Conference
    The conference program will include plenary and keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations organized within the various scientific sessions by the local organizing committee.
  • Polish Corrosion Society
    The Corrosion 2019 conference is a continuation of a series of the Polish Corrosion Society (PSK) meetings, which is organized periodically every three years.
  • Meeting
    The privilege of holding the 12thrunning conference was given to the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology.

Abstracts and papers

Abstracts

Abstracts must be submitted in English. The abstract should contain the title of the paper, the names of the authors (full first name, family name), their departments and affiliations (institution, city, country) and the e-mail address of the presenting author.

The abstracts should be written with Arial 12 point font, single spaced. Photos, graphs and tables may be included in abstract. Additional formatting of abstract file is not required. Abstracts must not exceed 300 words, total abstract length (including photos, graphs, tables and references) should be not longer than one A4 page.

The abstracts should be sent in MS Word for Windows format by email to the conference secretariat: corrosion2019@pw.edu.pl conf@corrosion2019.pl

All manuscripts will be subjected to the journals standard peer review procedure and copyright conditions.

Each participant can submit one paper as part of the Conference Fee

If the conference participant submits more than one paper, the conference fee will be increased + 150 euro
